Two Awards for the Best Neuroscience Article (EPNA) 2024

International Partners of the ERA-NET NEURON Network Present the 2024 Best Neuroscience Paper Awards (EPNA)
This year, the ERA-NET NEURON network, including the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQ-S), has launched two 2024 Best Neuroscience Paper Awards aimed at recognizing outstanding research publications by early-career researchers and promoting their work within the broader scientific community.
Winners will receive a €3,000 prize and be featured on the ERA-NET NEURON website. Additionally, they may be invited as guest speakers, with travel expenses covered, at the midterm symposium on May 14-15, 2025.
Please note that applicants must be affiliated with a partner country of the ERA-NET NEURON network at the time of publication, and open-access publications are strongly encouraged.
EPNA Biomedical Award 2024
Specific Eligibility Criteria:
- The article topic must focus on diseases related to biomedical and translational neuroscience, with a particular emphasis on cerebrovascular diseases, including small vessel disease (CSVD) and brain barrier dysfunction.
- The applicant must be the sole first author of an article published between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023.
- Certain fields of research are excluded from this call.

EPNA Neuroethics Award 2024
Specific Eligibility Criteria:
- The article must address significant ethical, philosophical, legal, and sociocultural questions related to neuroscience and recent advancements, evaluating the opportunities and risks associated with technological and methodological progress.
- The applicant must be the sole first author of an article published between January 1, 2020, and December 31, 2023.
- Certain fields of research are excluded from this call.
