FRQ Dialogue Program - Researchers Stream 2025-2026

The goal of this program is to promote Science and Society dialogue.

While many Quebecers show an increasing interest in research and find value in participating in scientific activities, the scientific community is sharing its work and resulting innovations, while experiencing the societal impact of its research. This connection strengthens public trust in science and contributes to the visibility of Quebec research. The experience gained by the research community also provides opportunities for mutual learning and exploring new horizons through the development of a common language. These acquired skills open avenues for research and even unforeseen career opportunities.

This stream invites researchers and the next generation they mentor to invest in the public sphere and enrich dialogue with society through scientific communication projects. Engaged in this dialogue, the public gains access to new knowledge, feels the excitement of discovery, and understands the impact of research.

Definition of "General Public":
In this grant program, the FRQ defines "general public" as citizens, individuals, and families from various segments of the population (age groups, socioeconomic backgrounds, ethnocultural origins, interests, etc.) interested in science, research, and the scientific process.

Note:
A joint committee composed of researchers and scientific communication specialists will evaluate applications. Given the diversity of committee members' backgrounds, candidates are encouraged to present their project in a way that facilitates understanding.
