Vincent Taschereau-Dumouchel is a neuropsychologist and Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychiatry and Addiction at the University of Montreal since 2021. He is also a researcher at the Research Center of the Institut universitaire en santé mentale de Montréal (CRIUSMM), where he leads ECLIPS lab, focusing on innovative projects at the crossroads of neuroscience, psychology, and artificial intelligence.
After earning his PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from Université Laval, he completed postdoctoral fellowships at the University of California, Los Angeles, and at the ATR Computational Neuroscience Laboratory in Japan. His work focuses on using neuroimaging and artificial intelligence algorithms to study emotional awareness and subjective experience in mental health.
In 2024, Dr. Taschereau-Dumouchel published several influential papers, reinforcing his leadership in this rapidly growing field. His research delves into the brain mechanisms involved in pain perception and how they can be manipulated to develop new therapeutic solutions, especially for chronic pain. He also explores AI-based neurofeedback algorithms, opening doors to increasingly personalized and effective therapeutic interventions.
We are very proud to have Vincent Taschereau-Dumouchel as part of our community and congratulate him on his remarkable contributions to neuroscience and mental health research!
