Anne Gallagher is an associate professor at the Montreal's University Department of Psychology. She is also chairholder for the Canadian research chair in children's neurophysiology and cerebral imaging. She is also a researcher at the CHU Ste-Justine's research centre where she directs the optical imaging laboratory in neurodevelopment (LIONlab). She is codirector of cerebrum, a regroupment of researchers in neuropsychology and cognitive and computational neuroscience at the University of Montreal.

Her research interest are exed on the cerebral, cognitive and speech development of children. Her research program is divided in two categories: 1) Typical cerebral and cognitive development during childhood; 2) Cognitive and cerebral effects of different illnesses and pediatric symptoms such as epilepsy, cardiac congenital anomalies and prematurity. In her laboratory, the LIONlab, her team uses neuropsychological evaluation and cerebral imaging, such as near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) and electroencephalography (EEG) to better understand these pathologies and their effects on the brain development, identify predictive markers of the neurodevelopmental forecast and develop interventions adapted to these clinical populations.
