Karim Jerbi is a full professor at the University of Montreal's Department of psychology and is a director for the Unifying Neuroscience and Artificial Intelligence in Quebec (UNIQUE). He is the chairholder for the computational neuroscience of Canada and the cognitive neuroimagery of Canada.

His research is the meeting point between cognitive, computational and clinical neuroscience. He wants to enlighten the role of neuronal oscillations and neuronal communication on a large scale in cognition. His studies also interest themselves in alteration of cerebral networks in the case of psychiatric and neurological illnesses. The multidisciplinary research is led in his laboratory combines magnetoencephalography (MEG), electroencephalography (EEG) of the hair and in the skull with the advanced treatment of signals and data analysis including AI. Dr. Jerbi is also interested in the convergence between the science of the brain and digital art.
