Marc Lanovaz is an Associate Professor at the School of Psychoeducation in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at the University of Montreal. As a researcher in behavior analysis and psychoeducation, his work primarily focuses on the use of artificial intelligence and technology to improve behavioral interventions for individuals with intellectual disabilities (ID) and/or autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
More specifically, Marc Lanovaz's research interests are organized around three main areas. The first area of research involves using technology to support practitioners and families in reducing problematic behaviors in individuals with ID and/or ASD. The second area aims to develop interventions to optimize the learning of concepts and functional skills in these populations. His third area of focus is on using artificial intelligence to facilitate decision-making in practice contexts. Overall, his work adopts a behavioral approach aimed at facilitating the integration and social participation of individuals with developmental difficulties.
His current research themes focus on autism, intellectual disability, behavioral intervention, artificial intelligence, technological supports, and clinical decision-making assistance.
