Lune Bellec is a Full Professor in the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Arts and Science of the Université de Montréal, a researcher at the Research Centre of the Montreal Geriatric Institute (CRIUGM), and an affiliated member of Mila – the Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute. She leads the SIMEXP (Simulation, Exploration and Modeling of the Brain) laboratory, where she develops neuroimaging and artificial intelligence approaches to better understand the functional organization of the human brain.
Initially trained in mathematics, modeling, and image processing, her work lies at the intersection of computational neuroscience, machine learning, and digital health. She is particularly interested in large-scale neuroimaging data analysis and individualized brain modeling. She is notably the principal investigator of the Courtois NeuroMod project, a major initiative aimed at developing models of the human brain and advancing open science in neuroscience.
